CORNERSTONE WOMEN’S CONFERENCE STATEMENT OF FAITH

• The Bible is the inspired, infallible word of God. It is the ultimate authority and holds the absolute truths for faith and life. God speaks to us through the Bible.
• Trinity – One eternal God, existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are equal in power and glory.
• God created the world in six consecutive 24-hour days and rested on the seventh day.
• God created men and women equal in respect to salvation, but with different roles: male headship in the home and male leadership in the church. Women serve in the church in various capacities, but not as and elder, deacon, or pastor.
• Marriage is between one man and one woman. Sex is a gift of God to be enjoyed within covenant marriage.
• A person’s gender (male and female) is chosen by God and should not be changed. An infant, from the moment of conception, is a life and bears God’s image.
• Due to Adam and Eve’s sin in the Garden of Eden, all men and women are totally depraved and need deliverance from God’s eternal judgment for their sins.
• Deity of Jesus Christ: Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin so Jesus is fully man and yet He is still fully God, He lived a sinless life on earth, He performed many miracles, He was the perfect atoning sacrifice through His death on the cross, He rose from the dead, He ascended into heaven and He will return in power and glory again.
• According to the authority of Scripture alone, we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone, for the glory of God alone.
